Patoranking Foundation Launches 2024 Tech Scholarship/Internship Program Empowering African Students in Tech

The Patoranking Foundation is giving young leaders in Africa the digital skills they need to increase local impact and helpful contacts for future partnerships.

The Foundation has initiated its USD$500,000 (roughly UGX1.9 billion, NGN700 million) tech scholarship initiative in strategic partnership with ALX Africa. The initiative aims to give forty young Africans who possess a strong technological background access to a range of transformative technology programs, including data analytics, cloud computing, and salesforce administration.

After spending more than USD$1 million (about UGX3.8 billion, NGN1.4 billion) on youth education in Africa during the previous six years, the foundation is starting a new chapter in its mission with the launch of a USD$500,000 (roughly UGX1.9 billion, NGN700 million) tech scholarship.

Promising, tech-savvy applicants from all around Africa between the ages of 18 and 34 are eligible for the scholarship. Only forty applicants will be chosen following a review of each applicant’s essay and video after completing the ALX admissions procedure.

The shortlisted applicants will take part in training courses and acquire cutting-edge technological abilities that top international employers are looking for. They will be able to close the knowledge gap between theory and practical application by qualifying for internships with top tech companies as part of their scholarship.
